Background
This is an empowering physicaL solo performance. And it highlights common issues that queer women regularly face. These include sexualisation, (fe)male gaze and the feeling of living in the shadows. Furthermore, it uses a 100-kilometre vertical pole. Indeed, the performer deconstructs it to show the audience how to be visible and in control.
Creatives
This has the support of Unity Theatre within its Open Artist Callout programme and also Pole Purpose. There is partial sound edit from Noel Jones. Furthermore, there are voiceovers from Emily Price, Ben Philips, Joseph Owens and Leon Armstrong.
Cast
Rowena Gander is both the lead performer and choreographer of this show. There is also artist support by Elinor Randle.
