Destiny
Background
City Theatre is presenting its first-ever family pantomime. After the success of its summer comedy show Bow & Arrow: The Outlaws of Sherwood, City Theatre returns. And this is a brand new panto that bases itself on Jack & The Beanstalk. So, the year is 2034, and we begin at the Time Travel Centre. This is the main HQ for the Quantum X 5000 experiment. Now, a year ago today, a group of elite scientists led by Dr. Destiny Sinclair (played by Holly Murphy and Fate Lewis and portrayed by Victoria Leopold) wandered into the desert to further develop this top-secret project. It would be a huge success, and this would prove the theory of time-travel being possible. However, under pressure to repeatedly prove her theories or lose funding, Dr Sinclair would prematurely step into the project accelerator. And she would vanish!
She would wake up in the past while suffering partial amnesia and facing a mirror image that isn’t her own. Fortunately, she can maintain contact with her own time via brainwave transmissions with Fate Lewis, the project observer. Now, she appears as a hologram that only Dr. Sinclair can see and hear. But stuck in the past, she leaps from life to life, correcting mistakes along the way. Furthermore, she hopes that each time, her next leap will be the leap back home. We also meet young scientist Skye McFly (Demi Leigh Wilson) and her new invention: Fleshcreep (Leo Hewitson). They work for the evil Dr Reigns who you would definitely wish to boo! However, are the baddies a match for the comedy duo Dame Velma Robinson and her nephew Dougal? This family panto adventure will captivate children and adults alike. So don’t miss the best value panto; a show containing lots of singing, acting and dancing.
