Join us this Easter for an adventure full of laughs, magic and fun. Regal Entertainments presents a family favourite pantomime with a superb cast. This includes Lewis Devine as Simple Simon, Timothy Lucas as Jack and Mark Two as Dame Dolly Trott. Not forgetting Abigail Middleton as Mrs Fleshcreep, Maddie Hope Coelho as Princess Jill and Jenna Sian O’Hara as Fairy Mary. This show discusses Jack’s rags to riches story. It’s of a boy that sells the family cow for a couple of magic beans. And this lands him in trouble with his poor mother.
But there’s a magical twist as the beans spout into a magnificent beanstalk. And it elevates right up to a wondrous land that is high in the sky. Audiences can join Jack on his journey. He discovers geese with golden eggs, a magic harp, and a frightening encounter with a very hungry giant. But he must tread carefully as the villainous Mrs Fleshcreep is hot on his heels. And she aims to stop him in his tracks. The show is produced by Regal Entertainments, directed by Olivia Sloyan and written by Reece Sibbald. Furthermore, the show is choreographed by Nazene Langfield, with musical direction by Callum Clarke.
Analysis Of Jack And The Beanstalk
This was Liverpool’s “Giant Easter Panto”, and it didn’t disappoint! There is plenty of very funny entertainment and adventure, plus a love interest between Jack and the Princes. It has a very clever, witty and up-to-date script written by Recce Sibbald. And this includes very clever use of Jack’s strong Liverpool accent. There’s also lots of excellent dancing and singing throughout. Jack is a very talented dancer, singer and actor; “the original triple threat”, you might say. Meanwhile, the school scene was very funny and delivered with energy and enthusiasm, with plenty of audience participation and great dancing.
Furthermore, there are amazing colourful costumes, particularly Dame Trott’s outfit made by the Dame herself. Some costume changes were very fast, considering the complexity of the costumes, wigs and so on. Incidentally, Dame Trott brought energy and enthusiasm to the role. And you had to see her crying to believe it. Plus, Simple Simon was great in his role. Indeed, he was magical with the children brought on stage. Furthermore, Light Fantastic was a brilliant addition to the show, as it was clever and funny.

This show was a wonderful night at the Epstein Theatre. It was thoroughly enjoyable for children and adults with plenty of audience participation. I strongly recommend you go and see this fantastic pantomime in the beautiful Epstein Theatre.
