Mam! I’m Ere
Background
One cold and windy night in Liverpool, Sally would be on her dad’s doorstep. Just left there, alone and cold. But 25 years later, she meets the love of her life. And on her dad’s failing disco holiday campsite in Wales, no less! But there’s just one person missing from the wedding ceremony plans: her mam. Now, after teasing out stories from her dad’s various mates, she narrows her search down to just three, albeit very different, women.
So, the three women believe they’ve won a holiday away to a great sunny destination. But they have to settle for a creaky caravan park, and to spot an old flame in the process. But no matter their opinions, one question remains: who is Sally’s real mam? And will she make it to the wedding in this hilarious Scouse representation of Mamma Mia!
Cast
This show already has a who’s who list of names for its cast. So, we have Eithne Browne, Jamie Clarke, Michael Fletcher, Stephen Fletcher, Lynn Francis, Lindzi Germain and Mia Molloy. Not forgetting usual Royal Court favourite Andrew Schofield, along with Hayley Sheen and Alan Stocks.
Venue
Liverpool’s Royal Court Theatre is the second largest for capacity. And it associates itself closely with local productions that run for numerous weeks, attracting tens of thousands of attendees. But it’s not just about the entertainment on stage. No, the Royal Court is also about the incredible art deco design, which would receive a major transformation in the 2010s. And the venue would also celebrate its 80th anniversary back in 2018. Nowadays, the Royal Court is crucial to Liverpool’s cultural identity. So, if you’re looking for a great night out at the theatre, you should definitely visit the Royal Court Theatre.
