So, what do we truly learn from silence and stillness? From sharing rather than taking, from waiting rather than pushing, from whispering rather than shouting, from dawdling rather than rushing? Well, this show is a new collection of appropriate and thought-provoking verses from the UK’s favourite poet. So, traversing rocky terrain using the assurance of a poetry Rover on Mars, Roger analyses a strange, almost lost, year, So, he discusses staycations, ghosts, hurricanes, gamblers and the small acts of kindness. Furthermore, there are surprising voices, adultery during lockdown, a nature trail and writing verse about the city of Liverpool. So, this evening offers poetry, love, intimacies and daffodils using the gift of numerous tongues while being playful, surreal and tender. Indeed, Roger reveals the most telling moments from these current times, so there is your warning!

Described as “a trickster you can trust”, Roger is currently President of the Poetry Society. What’s more, he has a CBE for his services to literature, along with the Freedom of the City of Liverpool.
