Tea Time
Background
We’re privy to a conversation between mother Joan and daughter April. And it centres on a serious workplace incident involving April. Now, Joan is busy making Dad’s tea, a nightly ritual for many a year. But, there still needs to be sufficient time allocation for preparation. Meanwhile, Sharon – the heart of gold neighbour – knows everyone and everyone knows her. But Sharon has an ongoing feud-cum-crusade against her other neighbour Gordon. So, all three are conveying the serious and up-to-the-minute experiences as part of their own situations.
Cast
Samantha Power, Denice Hope and Elise Carman are the stars of this particular production.
Venue
St. Luke’s Church is more notable amongst Liverpudlians as being the Bombed Out Church. And that’s because of the impact of the Blitz during the Second World War on the church. But its history dates back to its original opening between 1811 and 1832. Furthermore, it remains a cultural landmark for those within the city. And it now acts as a hidden gem for the city with live entertainment and refreshments available for locals. Best of all, it acts as the home base for the Liverpool Theatre Festival. Why not come along to the festival to check out the church yourself?
