Do you Want To Break Free? This show courtesy of the country’s biggest Queen tribute band Majesty can allow you to do that! Make sure to join the crew: Freddie, Brian, Roger and John – they’re all here. And they will take you on an intriguing and unique journey as they present the very best of Queen. All the while, they will celebrate their music, their glamour and their showmanship.
You will hear about how Queen would make their name, as well as their timeless sell-out concerts at London’s Wembley Stadium. Meanwhile, there will be highlights from their most famous concerts amidst an authentic atmosphere. And not forgetting hits like Bohemian Rhapsody, We Will Rock You, We Are The Champions and Don’t Stop Me Now. Oh, and I Want To Break Free, of course! So, come along and celebrate Queen in this one-of-a-kind tribute show!
Description
The show would begin with a fast-paced rendition of We Will Rock You and Tie Your Mother Down. Then, it was a medley combining Bohemian Rhapsody with Killer Queen and Bicycle Race. Then, Keep Yourself Alive and Another One Bites The Dust would highlight the strong piano and drums work. This would also include audience interaction by way of an extensive clap-along to AOBTD. From there, Who Wants To Live Forever would serve as a dedication to NHS workers. The first half would end with Fat Bottomed Girls and Somebody To Love, the latter drawing a particularly loud response.
So, the second half would open up with Don’t Stop Me Now and then Radio Ga Ga. We would then have a dedication to everyone coping through the pandemic with Crazy Little Thing Called Love. From there, the big hits would keep on coming, with one example being I Want To Break Free. We would then return to We Will Rock You, followed by Friends Will Be Friends and We Are The Champions. For the encore, the band would cover short bursts of various audience requests. This would pave the way for the final number, the complete version of the timeless Bohemian Rhapsody.
Analysis
The band were very authentic and lifelike. Freddie Mercury would of course lead the way, having the audience in the palm of his hand throughout. The high pitch and prolonged notes would be highlights, as were his realistic banter between tunes. Not forgetting wardrobe changes, such as Mercury’s vintage yellow jacket and the use of a crown and robe.
But while the band would visually resemble the actual Queen, the real pleasure is hearing them sing. Indeed, the renditions of all the major hits were spot-on. And the audience would react very positively throughout between singing, dancing, clapping and cheering. Needless to say, there would be smiles on faces all-round when the evening would come to a close.
Summary
It’s so difficult to truly recreate the full Queen experience, but this show does a great job in that respect. You will hear every classic tune and witness every striking costume. Furthermore, you will get to play a role in the show on multiple occasions. So, if you love Queen, watch this show as it’s a fantastic tribute to one of the greatest bands ever.
