There’s A Dead Body In My Baby’s Sandpit

The dark comedy play There’s A Dead Body In My Baby’s Sandpit comes to Liverpool’s Hope Street Theatre in February 2020.

Linda, Brian and daughter Nelly are new to the neighbourhood. Everything seems perfect. Perfect house, perfect garden, perfect life – just what they need. One day, whilst hanging out the washing, Linda notices something in Nelly’s sandpit … and it has fingernails.

Following their recent success of The Nether by Jennifer Haley in 2018 at Hope Street Theatre, Falling Doors Theatre brings you their next production, a new play devised by local actors and creatives: There’s A Dead Body In My Baby’s Sandpit, following a series of R&D workshops with the full company.

A dystopian, dark-comedy, the story follows a young family who have just moved into a new neighbourhood where everything seems perfect. When their world starts to crumble around them, we learn that everything isn’t always as it seems. Falling Doors Theatre was set up in 2015 by freelance Theatre Director Sarah Van Parys (Young Everyman Playhouse Director graduate) with Creative Producer Nancy Msiska (Young Everyman Playhouse Producer graduate) joining the company in 2018.
