Music, fashion and teenage friendship collide in a love-letter to the 90s.
Abbi and Beth want to be Kate and Naomi. Walking the fashion week in Paris or partying with Britpop stars in London. Instead, they’re stuck in a small northern town, incarcerated to pre-fab science labs and cold wet playgrounds.
Teenage friendship is tested in POP. It is an audacious theatrical production, exploring the boundaries of consent, loyalty and trust when the music stops playing. Prior to its national tour, the blistering, award-winning POP returns to the North West.
The show is written by High-Sherriff Award Winner Will Hammond, designed by Everyman & Playhouse Prize for Stage Design 2018 Winner Kirsty Barlow.
POP runs at the Unity Theatre from Thursday April 11-Friday April 12. To buy tickets, visit www.unitytheatreliverpool.co.uk/whats-on.html or call 0151 709 4988.
