Desperate Scousewives 2 – Pulling A Christmas Cracker!
Desperate Scousewives 2 – Pulling A Christmas Cracker! is bringing a unique blend of local humour and late festive cheer to New Brighton’s Floral Pavilion, and judging by its first night, the show is a must-see!
The show is a fast moving, festive Scouse comedy, full of witty one-liners throughout. There are four Scouse neighbours all living on a Liverpool street, all spent up and all ready to celebrate Christmas. True to form with Scouse girls, they were dressed to kill in their onesies and PJ’s, hair-rollers and with their trout pouts out as they were taking constant selfies.
The cast played their roles superbly as Susan, Vanessa, Lilly and Trisha. The show itself was truly hilarious throughout, with some amazing scenes that had us belly-laughing from start to finish.
Trisha just wants Christmas to be perfect for her and the kids as it’s the first one on their on since her split with the ex. Meanwhile. Susan is on the phone telling Trisha’s daughter that Santa has been in an accident, which was a brilliant scene. What’s more, the moment of Vanessa’s birthing with the girls all taking selfies was one of the funniest things I have watched.
The ladies also performed a great scene as a bunch of teenage Scouse hoodies. The Scouse accent and the true Scouse humour were so brilliantly recreated on stage and the jokes flowed so well! What’s more, the Floral was a fab venue, the audience had a ball, and the whole show was simply a superb night of entertainment.
On the whole, Desperate Scousewives 2 – It’s A Christmas Cracker! was easy to follow and hilariously funny, though probably not one to watch with the family as it is definitely more of a (fantastic) girl’s night out!
